AUDIO-VISUAL SERVICE
– To Convey Youth-Related Message
We encourage originality and youth participation in
electronic media production. Our productions include
documentaries, TV programs, radio broadcast and music
creation.
COUNSELING SERVICES
– To Heal the Wounded Souls
We provide professional counseling services to help
solve personal, marital and family problems. Services
include counseling sessions, workshops for personal
growth, pre-marital education series and counseling
training.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
SERVICE – To Cultivate Leadership Quality
Breakthrough Youth Village was completed in 1996. The
site is well-equipped with a wide range of facilities
and is training ground for potential exploration programs
as well as for leadership training.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
– To Develop Leaders with Cultural Sensitivity
The Youth Village has various cultural facilities*including
an auditorium, art gallery and a teahouse. Various kinds
of exhibitions and activities are held here to develop
youngsters' appreciation of visual art and critical
reflection on mass media.
PATHFINDING ACTIVITIES
– To Nurture Leaders with Visions
Various audio-visual, editorial, drama, art and simulation
workshops are organized at the Youth Village. They are
forums for youths to explore issues of the 21st century,
encouraging them to express their opinions through creativity.
TRAINING PROGRAMS
– To Nurture Leaders with Inner Strength
Outdoor ventures, full package of camping services and
recreational facilities (e.g. gymnasium, indoor and
outdoor rock-climbing walls, rope courses, etc.) provide
young people with comprehensive physical, intellectual
and spiritual training.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
TRAINING – To Develop Communicative Leaders
Breakthrough has established a virtual community on
internet, which is the first of its kind in Hong Kong.
It offers a variety of internet activities, seminars
and training to encourage young people to cultivate
interpersonal relationship by using sophisticated technology.
TRAIN THE TRAINERS
– To Enable the New Generation
Leadership training theories and skills are very important
to youth workers. We offer courses and training workshops
for teachers, social workers, parents and all those
who are youth-oriented.
INFORMATION AND
RESEARCH WORK – To Understand More About the New
Generation
Focused and in-depth research projects on youth-related
topics provide useful information for youth workers
to increase their understanding of young people.
