In the past year, Breakthrough Youth Village organized a "Give Thanks For Growth Music Festival" in celebration of its 10th anniversary. Looking back, we see the past ten years full of episodes of various youth groups participating and growing together in our Youth Village:

Students - Through Wholistic Education events, we nurtured the leadership qualities of youths for the 21st Century. Every year, 70,000 participants joined various activities held at the Breakthrough Youth Village.

Community on the web - Through our "Uzone21.com" website and our wholistic education website "bt4u.com", we provided opportunities for young people to express themselves and discuss issues in life.

Young readers and audiences - Through books, "U+" Magazine, broadcast programmes and gift items, we connected with 700,000 youths a year, building depth in their thinking and perspective in life.

Deprived youths - "The Ark Community" gathered together a worshipping community for youths with disabilities; "Modern Apprenticeship" enabled youngsters with bottommost or zero mark in HKCEE to rebuild their lives, with counselling service for them and their families.

International youth leaders - The "Leadership Academy" trained 100 to 120 ethnic Chinese youths from different countries every year, leading them to reflect on their life and cultural mission.

Youth workers - We provided training courses and support through the "Breakthrough Leadership Institute", the "Train-the-Trainer Book Series" and the "Breakthrough Channel" newsletter.

International partners - We provided training for youth workers in Shanghai, participated in the CCCOWE annual conference and organized symposium for youth workers to enhance international partnership.

In the spirit of Christ, Breakthrough believes that every young person is a leader, in the image of God, with a beautiful life that can lead us into the 21st Century.

In spite of the various challenges led by social changes, broken families and the overwhelming influence of the mass media, youths today can still develop spiritual understanding, analytic and critical abilities, and a positive outlook on life. They can be a prophetic voice, and become leaders of the church and society.
