THE ARK COMMUNITY

The Ark Community is an evangelistic institution jointly set up by Shatin Alliance Church and Breakthrough. In September 1996, C.M.A. Shatin Alliance Church organized "Ark Mission Fellowship" at Breakthrough Youth Village, holding worship services and serving with the disabled. The project later developed to include Sunday Schools, outreach activities, fellowships and gospel works.

OBJECTIVE

1. To build a worshipping community comprising both the abled and the disabled, who are committed both to Christ and His mission, and who are willing to serve GOD together.
2. To equip members and get them ready for serving people through worships, Sunday Schools and training Courses. To help them experience love and mutual care through fellowships and cell groups.
3. To get in touch with the disabled as well as young people through various channels and activities, and to arouse their interest in the Ark Community, also helping them mingle with the society and to find out for themselves that it is better to give than to receive.

VISION

1. We believe that men are all equal in front of GOD, and that He treasures and loves us all, be we old or young, physically fit or disabled, or weak or strong.
2. We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is whole, and is capable of forgiving sins, releasing the imprisoned, freeing those in bondage, healing the wounded and helping people live a better life.
3. We believe that the Ark Community is a group that GOD delights in. We worship together, love each other, serve each other, serve GOD together and expand His Kingdom together.
